Description

A scenic, secluded bay nestled between sea-swept rocky headlands. Hellfire Bay is one of the most beautiful bays in Cape Le Grand National Park and a great spot to enjoy a picnic or a refreshing dip in calm conditions. The bay is thought to have been named after St Elmo's fire a bluish flame-like electrical discharge that sometimes occurs above ship's masts. Facilities include toilets, barbecues and a large picnic shelter with several tables. You can get to this site by two-wheel drive. Pets are not permitted. No camping or overnight parking. Rock fishing (safety rings are attached to the rocks at all the bays in the park along with rescue rings).
