Roadside rest area on George Grey Drive beside Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake). Hutt Lagoon boasts a pink hue created by presence of carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a source of ß-carotene, a food-colouring agent and source of vitamin A. Rest areas are a place where you can stop and rest to manage fatigue however they are not intended for camping. This rest area provides a safe place to stop and view Hutt Lagoon. Place all rubbish in the bins provided and leave no trace.
