4x4 Track Between Gnaraloo Bay And Amherst Point
Point of InterestDescription
This is a thoroughfare 4x4 track between Gnaraloo Bay and Amherst Point. It takes around 1.5-2 hours each way, depending on your vehicle, how often you stop and the track conditions.
There are a few rocky sections, steep rocky hills and a creek crossing (water levels fluctuate) you must pass through.
High clearance 4WD is required. Air down your tyres and use 4WD mode. Bring recovery gear. Low range will help along some sections.
Camper trailers and small offroad vans may be OK. Large caravans may not make it. Most of the track is good, just rocky and corrugated so it's slow going. Access to the coast/beach off this track is very restricted / limited most of the way until you get north of the creek crossing.
Camping, domestic animals and fires are not permitted along this stretch of coast and the area is regularly patrolled by Park rangers.
