Carbunup Reserve
Point of InterestDescription
Something to do in spring to see many different species of wildflowers. At the corner of O'Donnell and Vickery Streets, facing the sign, take the right gate and follow the path to the power lines. Turn left and follow the track under the power lines. During spring there are many different species including kangaroo paws and orchids. Continue for several hundred metres when you come to a fence, here you can either turn left to the Bussell Highway (about 250m) or retrace your steps to the car. If you do turn left follow trail to the highway you can either walk back to the car via the highway or cross the highway and follow a long looping track down and back to the highway near the service station (we turned back as there were very few flowers on this section). This reserve was recommended by the Busselton Information Centre as a good spot to see wildflowers and it was.
