Dingo Rock
Point of InterestDescription
Dingo Rock is a fascinating historical site located within a fauna reserve just outside of Wongan Hills. The site is surrounded by natural scrub protecting it from the wind and making it a perfect location for a picnic.
Enjoy a walk through the bushland to the rock to see an ancient Aboriginal Gnamma Hole that was carved out of the rock face to collect drinking water. Signs are marked along the walk trail to direct you to the rock.
It is highly recommended that you visit the area in spring when the flowers are on show. Wongan Hills is home to over 250 species of wildflowers including six rare species that only grow in this region.
