An inviting parking area and the best place to stop for views and to explore trails leading deeper into the bush.
Botanical Path
The wheelchair and pram accessible trail leads from the Drummond car park to the Iain Wilson Lookout. Interpretive signs along the way explain the biology and traditional uses of some of the 900 plant species in the park.
Distance: 400m return Time: Allow 15-30 minutes including stops Difficulty: Class 2
Gairdner Trail
The trail starts in the Drummond car park and the first 250 metres follow the Botanical Path. The trail meanders through kwongan heath and low woodlands of wandoo to the sandstone outcrops of Gairdner Ridge.
Distance: 2.5km loop Time: Allow 1-1.5 hours Difficulty: Class 3
Mount Lesueur Trail
After following the Botanical Path for 250m the trail leads towards the almost flat-topped Mount Lesueur. The way is flat for the first kilometre before a steeper rocky section. The summit is across the top of the mesa with spectacular views to the south, east and west.
Distance: 4km return Time: Allow 1-2 hours Difficulty: Class 3
Please use the scrubbing station before beginning your walk.
National Park entry fees apply. Toilets are available in the car parking area.
You can get to this site by two-wheel drive and large vehicles > 7m
Dogs are not permitted.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.
