Lookout with panoramic 360 degree views of the western escarpment of the Bungle Bungle Range.
Located 2.5km from the visitor centre, Kungkalanayi Lookout provides awesome views of the Bungle Bungles western face and the spinifex covered limestone ridge. At sunset, these blaze in brilliant reds and yellows against a backdrop of purple hues from the evening sky.
It is an easy 500 m, 30 minute return walk to the lookout from the car park. This is a great place to orientate yourself in the park landscape. There are several seats at the top of the lookout and a toilet is situated in the car park.
Bungle Bungle National Park is open in the dry season only - usually April to November, dates vary. Access for high-clearance four-wheel drive vehicles with low-range gears, and single-axle high-clearance camper trailers and caravans only.
Pets are not permitted.
