Ooramboo & Edney's Trailhead
Point of InterestDescription
There are large and graceful river gums along a boulder strewn gully and impressive views from Edney's Lookout.
Ooramboo Trail
A relatively easy walk along the escarpment leads to Aboriginal engravings. Near the start of the trail is Ooramboo which was a campsite for Wajarri stockmen and families working on the cattle station in the mid to late twentieth century.
Distance: 500m return Time: 15 - 30 minutes Difficulty: Class 3
Edney's Trail
This trail leads to Edneys Lookout, a peak on the southern end of Mount Augustus visible from the tourist park. The lookout has elevated views over vast pastoral and conservation lands. This an ideal alternative for those seeking impressive views without taking the more strenuous Summit Trail.
Distance: 6km return Time: Allow 2-5 hours Difficulty: Class 4
