Plantagenet Battery had a single 6-inch BL gun which remains in situ.
The battery with a single 6-inch gun, is located on the shore line below Princess Royal Battery.
There is a magazine and fire control to the rear of the battery.
A 6-pdr QF Battery was built just to the west of Plantagenet Battery in 1904 in order to provide protection against fast moving vessels.
