Jump aboard and journey back in time on the small-group Bombing of Darwin Harbour cruise the only one of its kind in Darwin. The tour takes you to historic locations that played a significant role during the Bombing of Darwin on 19 February 1942, with insightful commentary from a knowledgeable local guide.
The cruise operates daily from April to September and Wednesday and Saturday from October to March.
Board your vessel at at Stokes Hill Wharf, a historic location that played an important role during the Bombing of Darwin. During the hour-long cruise, you will explore Darwin Habour and learn about its WWll history sites from a knowledgeable local guide.
As you take in the tropical city skyline, be treated to commentary about Darwin Harbour and its significance as Australia's frontline port. The cruise takes you past Fort Hill Wharf areas, the Pearling Luggers, the wreck sites of the SS Neptuna and USS Peary, the old flying boat base at Doctors Gully, HMAS Coonawarra, and the Emery Point gun emplacement.
The vessel is equipped with sonar technology that allows you to view the wreck site of the USS Peary on the sea floor. At the end of the cruise, you can disembark at Cullen Bay or stay aboard for a fast boat journey back to Stokes Hill Wharf.
