Description

Mungo Brush campground is a popular place near Hawks Nest on the north coast. Featuring caravan sites, its near the beach and the lake; you can go fishing, walking and kayaking. Bookings are required. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. Park entry fees are not included in your camping fees. There are 78 unpowered sites, suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans or camping beside your vehicle. Facilities include, picnic tables, barbecue facilities, boat ramp and toilets. Fires are prohibited! From the campground there is easy access north to Mungo Rainforest walk and south to Tamboi walking track and Mungo walking track. Being right on the lake means there are great opportunities to go for a kayak or canoe along the lower Myall River to Hawks Nest. A short walk from the campground leads to the beach, where you go swimming, fishing and sailboarding. If youre clever enough to catch a fish, you can cook it up for dinner on one of the barbecues in the campground. Pets and fires are not permitted.
