Lake Walpeup
CampgroundDescription
This lakeside campground offers toilets, solar heated shower, picnic tables, bbq facilities, fire pits, playground, and swimming (when enough water in the lake). It is dog friendly.
Although the amenities block is a big one, there is only one toilet cubicle and one shower cubicle for each of the ladies and gents sides. When it's busy there can be a line up.
Extremely quiet spot and in off season - read winter - you could be the only ones there.
Don't rely on Google Maps to get you in there. It will make you do a left turn at the 'entrance' and send you on a long drive through the bush land until you can find a spot to get off the track and do a three-point turn to head back.
As you drive in just steer straight ahead.
It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers and caravans. Camping in tents is allowed.
Camping is by donation.
