Part of the Sandy Cape Recreation Site. Camp sites at Sandy Cape are subject to a first come first serve basis. There is NO pre-booking of sites and there are no provisions for overflow camping once all sites are full. Camp sites at Sandy Cape will regularly be full during peak periods of use, such as school holidays and long weekends. Campers can stay for a maximum of 4 nights however extensions can be obtained but only from the Caretaker or the Shire Rangers.
When on site, camp fees can be paid direct to the Caretaker. Should the Caretaker not be in attendance camp fees can be paid to the Shire Rangers and also at the information bay honesty box. Please retain your receipt. Please note: camp fees for Sandy Cape apply to the entire Land Reserve area #19062. This includes the 4WD-only access areas north and south of the main campsite.
Please take all rubbish with you. At the Information Bay rubbish bins are provided.
Dogs are permitted in Sandy Cape Recreation Park. When dogs are in the camp grounds and in the swimming area adjacent to the camp grounds dogs are to be on a lead or leash.
