Leaning Marri
CampgroundDescription
Leaning Marri campground offers six unpowered, shady single campsites and one group campsite with a shared shelter.
Leaning Marri has a shelter which serves both as a registration shelter and a camper's shelter for those in the group site. There are five individual sites - suitable for tent or small camper trailer set-ups. See if you can spot the tree which gives Leaning Marri its name. Quite the character, its trunk has grown at a 30 degree angle before straightening out and heading for the sky.
The campsites are approximately 45 minutes from Pemberton. Access to Leaning Marri campsite is along Ritter Road - a gravel road suitable for 2WD vehicle.
Bookings cannot be made.
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood. Campers´ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared
A 4WD track which leads from Lake Yeagarup toYeagarup and Warren Beach provides the adventurous visitor with some exciting driving. Please take care to stick to defined paths to avoid damaging the fragile ecosystem. Warren Beach is suitable for 4WD vehicles to travel on.
